Peter Update

This fall as the weather changed, Peter had some difficult weeks and months but in spite of that, we continue to be amazed at the neurological development and healing we see taking place. Small steps, but they are steps forward. We are very thankful for where the Lord has brought him. He has more difficult flares in the winter, the Lord gives grace. We continue to see His healing hand in Peter’s life… And He gives wisdom in the difficult circumstances that we can’t change. Peter is so often a beautiful reminder of “becoming like a child”…His simple faith and trust, his infectious joy, so quick to forgive and forget.

Peter learned to read when he was five but lost the ability with the autoimmune encephalitis. It all came back to him this spring, and has changed his life in wonderful ways!

Putting together a Lego kit for the first time! That was a huge accomplishment for Peter!

Catching up to Guinevere… Or trying to!
Sweet and patient little sister!
Delighted by every snow fall! He loves watching the snowflakes fall…a big change from last year when he cried in great dismay everytime it snowed!
Waiting for lab work… something he never gets used to.
He loves wildlife… Fascinated by the Canadian geese on this nearby lake.
Adores daddy and “brother!”
Peter asked daddy to buy him his “own” Bible this winter…😊 His favorite number is 131 right now so his favorite verses quickly became Psalm 131 “O LORD, my heart is not proud, nor my eyes haughty;
Nor do I involve myself in great matters,
Or in things too difficult for me.
Surely I have composed and quieted my soul;
Like a weaned child rests against his mother,
My soul is like a weaned child within me.
O Israel, hope in the LORD
From this time forth and forever.”
