One place we discovered and have been to a couple times now is The Enchanted Rock State Natural Area… It is 1,600 acres of natural area with miles of trails and a 425 foot pink granite dome to climb. The views from the top of the surrounding Texas hill country are beautiful!

On top of the done rock are pools of rain water, where life flourishes… the girls were watching all the tadpoles and fairy shrimp and other aquatic life.
Almost back down! We enjoyed this state natural area, it has miles of trails and much to see!
