A Fall Day in Texas

Winding through hill country to enjoy a fall hike at a state nature preserve called “Lost Maples”.

♥️Our three little pumpkins♥️

First stop of the day was at the only apple orchard that we know exists in Texas. A fresh apple fritter for daddy and apple coffee and fresh apples for the rest of us.😊

There seems to be flowers always blooming here.

Most of the fall colors here are muted but the Texas Maples are beautiful and remind us of the north.

Oh, the joys of having daddy along…Everything is more exciting with him!

The familiar sound and smell of fallen, crunchy leaves!

A little waterfall…

The Ponds, rivers and streams are shale bottom, so the water is so clear and aqua colored.

Water and sunshine make a happy boy (and knowing a picnic lunch awaits…He loves picnics!)

So many things to talk about…So many questions when they have daddy’s ear!

They said they were in the “mouth of a whale”.😊

The soothing sounds of bubbling streams…

Heading home…

A stop for a picnic supper and sunset walk on the way home. Beautiful Texas. These days with the little ones are priceless.
