San Saba

West of us is San Saba, an iconic, rural Texas town, known as the “Pecan Capitol of the world.” Pecan orchards cover thousands and thousands of acres.

There are trails and a spring fed lake at the city park. Waterfalls, flowers and a creek, shaded by large sycamore trees.

One of Peter, Evelyn and Savanna’s favorite places to go.

This time of year we pack breakfast and go first thing in the morning so we are headed home by 11, when the heat intensifies.

We are thankful for quiet places…

That the Lord has provided.

“Your steadfast love, O Lord, is as great as all the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds.”

“Your justice is as solid as God’s mountains. Your decisions are as full of wisdom as the oceans are with water.”

“You are concerned for men and animals alike. How precious is your constant love, O God! All humanity takes refuge in the shadow of your wings.”

“You feed them with blessings from your own table and let them drink from your rivers of delight.”

“For you are the Fountain of life; our light is from your light.”

“Pour out your unfailing love on those who know you! Never stop giving your blessings to those who long to do your will.” Ps 36:5-10 TLB

We are thankful to know these little ones are precious to our Father. …and His hand is on their lives.

They each have daily struggles due to their health, the fresh air, sunshine, and water quiets their bodies and minds.

Loving the water and shade!

A little frog… Small creatures and insects delight Peter…he handles them with great care as he admires them.
